Yes you should read this book! Yes you should read it in published order. Now that that is out of the way….I really enjoyed learning what happened before the first book. I still have a lot of questions though. Not bad questions, good ones…the ones that make you excited! It has been a bit since I read the first book, so it took me a little while to get back up to speed, but once I did it was smooth sailing. This series is wonderful and I am eagerly anticipating the next book in 2025. I will definitely do a re-read before the next one comes out 😉
