Good Night, Gorilla Board Book by Peggy Rathmann

3.0

The tired zookeeper is making his rounds, checking that all the animals are safe for the night and saying goodnight to each. Unbeknownst to him, the mischevous little monkey has stolen his keys and, following the zookeeper, unlocked the animals one by one. They all follow the zookeeper into his house where, tired from the day, doesn't notice all the animals in his bedroom. But when he says goodnight to his wife, there are many choruses of goodnight in return. The zookeeper's wife is startled and must return all the animals to the zoo.

Cute story, especially for very young children. There aren't many words at all, and the illustrations are nice. A good introduction to different animals and the pictures of them in the bedroom are quite amusing.
