Black Candle Women by Diane Marie Brown

Dnf 2-something % thru.
I understand that the ending is going to include this miraculous understanding between family members, probably. But Victoria, the mother, treating her 17-year-old daughter, Nickie , like she’s a 12-year-old is infuriating. Instead of honesty and talking things through, she’s going to sell her daughters camera, limit her phone plan, take away her computer, institute rules about Nickie wearing mascara (wtf), Etc. etc. just to keep her daughter in the dark about a secret Victoria plans on telling her anyway. I’m done.
