I Want to Eat Your Pancreas by Yoru Sumino
3.0
I ended up reading this within the space of two days, I got hooked very quickly but maybe not for the right reasons to begin with. The first page does not hold back as you believe you know what is going to happen but it does pull a solid and shocking plot twist. The first few chapters were slow to get into as the dynamic between the two characters took longer than I thought to make a connection, but as soon as it picked up I could not put it down. The twist as mentioned was fantastic (in a morbid sort of way) as it truly came out of nowhere for me but then it may have just been me. It was truly moved by the ending and how much development the main character had gone through.
If the beginning was not as slow as it was I may have given it a 5 star review but I still enjoyed reading it nonetheless.
