Revisiting Usog, Pasma, Kulam by Michael L. Tan

What an interesting book! There are so many things to ponder on after reading. If you are interested in culture and people, this book might interest you. The term medical anthropology might sound so daunting, but it basically pertains to looking at health and disease in different lenses (belief systems, ecological systems, etc.), situating it in a broader framework. The book does not pit indigenous knowledge/beliefs against (western/modern) medicine. Instead, Prof. Tan notes that the two can learn something from each other.
