We're out of the depressive slump after book 5 folks!!!!!
Oh my god, I'm so happy that I felt excitement as the events of this book unfolded cause the start really reminded me of the last two books in the series and with them the despair, depression and slowness they brought. But during the 2nd part it really started to pick up pace and I got so pumped up!
Dragons with scales that resemble feathers?!?!?!?!???? That makes so much sense that it makes me angry I've never seen it being done before, IT'S SO COOL.
The previous books in the series took me months to finish while this one only took me 3 weeks so I think it's fair to say that it's one of the good ones in this series. Loved the Incan empire plot (as ridiculous as it was with Granby 😂) and I was really glad to see the Tswana again - I wish we would've spent a bit more time with them than with the horrible horrible scum that we were stuck with in the first part of the book.

I'm just rambling so my tldr is: book=goooood, dragons=prettyyyyyy, Laurence=has grown a spine.
