This was a book I was looking forward to for so long,  and it did not disappoint me in the least bit. VE Schwab has such a beautiful way of crafting a story that I just eat it up every time. Fragile Threads has a seven year time skip from the end of The Conjuring of Light that follows the original main cast along with new main characters. The blending of the original series with this new book is so well done with intermittent flashbacks that progress the story without feeling unnecessary to the plot or character development. Tes and Kosika are such great additions to our cast of misfit royals and pirates that they felt like they were apart of the tale the whole time. This book feels like it was apart of VE Schwab’s plan for the Shades of Magic series for years, and even if it wasn’t, she returned to it so seamlessly and executed it so well. I’ll be impatiently waiting for the next book
