Abdul's Story by Jamilah Thompkins-Bigelow

This is a nice story about a boy who doesn't think he can be a writer because his writing is messy and he makes so many mistakes. With the help of a special teacher, he realizes that he *is* a writer and that no one's work is perfect at first, it's okay to be messy, to make mistakes, and to still tell your stories.
