Ao Haru Ride, Vol. 9 by Io Sakisaka
5.0
Thank you, Kou, for finally setting this straight with Narumi! It takes a lot of courage and determination to break things off with someone and you handled it well, good for you!
While I'm not as invested in Futaba's relationship with Toma, I really like Toma as a character and I think he's a genuinely nice guy but isn't a door mat. I do think they would make a good couple and Toma could definitely make Futaba happy, but it's pretty obvious she's meant to be with Kou.
I loved how straightforward Shuko was about caring more about Futaba's happiness then Kou's issues. I truly love the female friendships in this series, I know I keep bringing it up, but they're just fucking FANTASTIC.
I like that Futaba is willing to give Toma a chance, despite still having lingering feelings for Kou. While not a healthy way of approaching romance, the fact that she's trying is cool.
That's about all I have to say for this volume. Wow, I caught up with this serie's manga releases in one day...that's pretty incredible. But now I have to wait until April for the next volume! *walks away, crying*
