When The Grave Calls by B.L. Brunnemer
4.0
LOVED this series!
It definitely says something about an author and a series if I'm sticking with it through nine books. I can't tell you how many last books of RH series sit in my KU shelf, or in my library, unfinished. I even like these series, but have a hard time sticking with them all the way through and this is for series with only four of five or six books. This series had nine and I have now read them all. I've really enjoyed this cast of characters and the paranormal elements in this series. I love that in these last books we see the relationships finally progress. I have a little bit of a hard time with some aspects of it - I love in RH when they all decide together that they are clear and certain in their path as a group, but at the same time how this does play out feels much more realistic to this story and these characters. After nine books of the overarching plot, it did feel like the final battle happened really quickly, but I also like that it wasn't dragged out more and that we had time to see Lexie with each of the guys.
