4 stars//Kindle + Audiobook//I started out reading this on Kindle but could NOT get through more than a few pages without falling asleep at night, so I decided to try the audiobook. This is the first TJR book I've read via audiobook and wow, was that a game changer! It was so well done. The characters all had their own voices, there were sound effects that made parts sound like they were actually a sports talk show, and it actually had me engaged with a book that I think I otherwise would've ended up DNFing.
That being said - this is still a low 4 in terms of enjoyment and the story. Everything was very predictable and I wish there was more depth to some of the characters. I do think sometimes TJR books are overhyped (but NOT Evelyn Hugo! The BEST!!) and this is an example of that. However... will I read anything else this woman comes out with? Abso-freakin-lutely.
