4.0

The book has a confusing start with its excessive exposition of anything the main character sees, and then soon veers into the direction of something being very, very wrong. From then on it is a pageturner as you seek the moment the story unfolds and Piranesi wakes up from his haze.

The House is a location I struggled to visualise in my head, but the book captured its supposed grandness very well. That said, the descriptions of how cold and humid the place was made me experience cold shivers while reading most of the book. That's probably a plus.
