Loki: Agent of Asgard - The Complete Collection by Al Ewing
3.0
It wouldn’t be a Loki comic if the quality wasn’t all over the place and every story wasn’t half buried in crossovers. This book inherits all the best and the worst parts of Journey Into Mystery, it seems, but with on very big exception: the art is terrific back to front. Things start off amazing before a weird detour into AXIS (a storyline that sounded so colossally dumb that I didn’t even bother to read the main story, much less the tie ins, as it was coming out). After breaking out of that, things recover nicely, but the imminence of Secret Wars distracts from the powerful work Ewing does with the final arc.
