The Headmaster's List by Melissa de la Cruz
2.5
Sadly a disappointment. This book just didn’t click for me like I was hoping it would.
The characters in this book are pretty good but it felt like they weren’t used much weirdly enough. There were so many people in this book who could’ve been used to point the finger at before we found out who actually did it but nothing happened with them?Like I would’ve loved to see some suspicious being thrown at Haley or Peyton or Tabby. But it never happened and it just made it so obvious that the author was going for the more predictable route, which makes me quite sad because the concept of this book is so good but it just isn’t used.
What I needed from this book was to use the concept of the headmaster’s list even more as a driving point in the story cause it fell sooo flat, I also would’ve liked for there to actually have been a mystery because Spencer and Jackson didn’t find shit nor did they solve anything!!
Overall just really disappointing 😭
