This is another fun installment in the Kaiju No. 8 series. This volume deals more with world set up and introducing who I think will be a bigger villain for the series. This continues to be a great story with engaging characters and a fascinating world. This volume was more battle heavy and less comedic. We also spend less time with Kafka though this is done to give us more time with side characters that I am guessing will be important. I hope that in the next volume we get a bit better balance of the comedy and action like we saw in volume 1.
