The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss

funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted

This was a cute story. I really enjoyed the depiction of the intimate town of Blexford where the story takes place, & the tight knit relationship between everyone in the town gave me “The Gilmore Girls town (Stars Hallow)” vibes. I also really liked the detail of all the delicious foods— my mouth was watering at some descriptions. When I found out the author used to be a professional baker it all made sense! It’s really cool because there’s even a couple of recipes at the end of the book for you to try to make them yourself at home.

As cute as the story is though it’s one of those books that I probably won’t read again. I thought Kate was too good for Matt to be honest 🤷🏽‍♀️ but all in all it was a sweet book to curl up and read over the Christmas break.
