This is one of my many new favorite series. This is a series I waited a few years for. It's better than I thought it could ever be. In the anime, you don't get a true sense of how big a disaster bi Seigi really is. Seigi's initial description of Richard is worthy of a Shakespearean award in disaster bi. This was the first scene I shared with friends.

We find out in this volume that Seigi does have a crush on someone, and she is so very smart and sweet. She sees things that right now, Seigi is blind to.
The banter between Richard and Seigi is wonderful. Seigi so often speaks well before engaging his brain. Richard is.....not always patient with Seigi in that respect. There is also the fact that Seigi is a bit naive, he is unfailingly kind and trusting. There are a few times where Richard shows Seigi how is actions and words can be perceived by others around him. In this, Seigi finds his action and words to be shocking once Richard points them out. There is a little ire, but that slowly fades into a deeper admiration.

While this is contemporary, there is an ethereal quality to the overall story that I love.
