A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
4.0
An interesting look at a semi-dystopian/authoritarian world where teenage crime runs rampant and the government responds in kind and through a scientific method where criminals are brainwashed to be sickened by activity of which the state does not approve. The commentary on liberty and free will is a little too obvious and in your face, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The characters, including the narrator, Alex, are interesting and well-developed. Extreme violence abounds. Loved the audiobook's narrator as well.
