The First Day of Spring by Nancy Tucker

5.0

Wow, this book. It’s dark, like getting lost in a black tunnel in hell where no light comes in. Except, there is Chrissie, and somehow, she shined a light and showed me the way out. This author did a phenomenal job with a gritty, horrible subject matter without leaving me feeling hopeless. There is a difference between an author just trying to shock you and one trying to convey a message about morality through exceptional story telling. Well done, message received. This is not a book I’d recommend to everyone, yet everyone should read it.
