A group of minstrels are involved, which gets Bertie in blackface, which means we now have this picture as irrefutable proof of Hugh Laurie being a vicious racist:

This is the first full-length Jeeves and Wooster novel. It's not very good in comparison to many of Wodehouse's other books (and has dated much worse), despite the touching ending, but you're guaranteed laughs.
