This was probably the most realistic romance novel I’ve ever read. As someone with a husband with a very demanding job, a lot of the marriage conflicts really hit home. My only gripes were the blatant feminism. I don’t mind that in books but you don’t have to hit the audience over the head with it whenever someone says toxic masculinity die a little inside. I also HATED Liv. Idk if it’s because I’m a big sister who is also married to someone with a demanding job but I had a visceral reaction to her scenes. I can’t imagine being treated that way or having my sister treat my husband that way for something like Thea and Gavin’s problems. Like the way she acted towards him you’d think there was abuse in their relationship not a lack of orgasms.
