• this was sick and twisted but also really good and a weird look into societal pressures, childhood trauma, and the effects it has on you as a person. It is very much giving Japanese horror fiction so read if that’s your thing.

• the gist is that the fmc and has a very traumatic and fucked up childhood/ life (look up the TWs, they’re needed for this book) and it leads her and the two closest people in her life to decide they’re actually aliens and then it devolves from there.

• I truly did not know where the story was going from page to page and the ending is shocking.

• for such a short book it did drag in some places. I definitely enjoyed this more than convenience store woman, but life ceremony is still my fav from the author.
