if you like sad books, this is the one for you. as a self-proclaimed sad book connoisseur, this book was amazing. i think i cried the last third of the book?
there were sooooo many amazing things about this book but probably the best thing was the love interest. this had one of the PUREST loves that i've read about. the love interest was a broken shell of a man, who had quite literally nothing left to lose, but still willing let the fmc go in order for her to make her own path of happiness. ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEEE. i cried. theres so much emotionally damaging events in the book that make it glorious sad.
THE ONE AND ONLY NEGATIVE THING I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS BOOK IS THAT MEAGAN BRANDY WROTE THE WORST CHARACTER EVER. IT WAS BEAUITFUL DON'T GET ME WRONG AND I LOVED EVERY EMOTIONALLY DAMAGING MINUTE BUT HOT FUCKING DAMN. I HATE CHASE WITH SUCH A PASSION THAT I DON'T THINK I WOULD SPIT ON HIM IF HE WERE ON FIRE.
