Absolutely INCREDIBLE premise and worldbuilding. I could feel the desperation. Never before have I cared more about the arc of POV characters that started out flat (why does this matter so much? iykyk). By the end, I was shamelessly routing for them. Some silly pacing between the 2/3 mark and the end knocked this from a 4 to a 3.5 for me. Excited for the rest of the trilogy.
