Night World, No. 1 by L.J. Smith

2.0

I thought this was so good as a young teen but upon reading it again I was sourly disappointed. I love and appreciate L.J. Smith for her creativity (The Forbidden Game is still my favourite- but to be fair I haven't read that for a while). But I just found this book to have way too many descriptions of eyes, it was very repetitive, and there wasn't lots of character development besides them fitting into static tropes. The best to me was Spell Binder because I'm interested in Wicca culture and mythology but I'm just so overly familiar with vampires that I'm kind of over it, I've seen if written better before. This was over 700 pages and by the time I was partially through it I was like, well I can't stop now. Future mila do not pick this book up again. Of course these are just my opinions and I love literature and no disrespect to authors who I criticize!
