Miriam would have loved Barbie
This book gave me the same vibes in that the message as Barbie.
I was so frustrated though everytime about the women in Afghansitan’s treatment & livelihood at the time consdering itms devoling now in 2023 as the Taliban have regained control. I found myself desperately wishing for things to be better for alll women and for Rasheed to stop that I was so proud of Miriam for doong what she did.
Miriam’s mother had some impactful quotes that made me understand & feel that deeper connection between mother and daughter.
Laila and Tariq had a beautiful love story & I’m glad that he accepted both her children in the end and that they lived well together.
