The Bright Effect by Erica Cope, Autumn Doughton

5.0

Both of these authors are massively underrated! I went into this not knowing much about it and I definitely think that was a good thing. Not knowing what to expect made me feel so much more for the main characters.

It's not the fluffy contemporary I thought it was going to be and dealt with grief and loss in a pretty realistic way. I loved Amelia and Bash separately and I loved them together. I teared up at certain parts and that's usually when I know I'll be giving a book 5 stars - when it actually makes my heart hurt for the characters.

Now I really need to read more from both of these authors! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys ya contemporaries.
