Little Bones by Sam Blake

3.0

Bonnier Publishing and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Little Bones, in exchange for an honest review.

Whilst the majority of the other reviews have raved about this book, I found it quite confusing. The start had so many characters to track, none which seemed to be linked. The idea of the story was good, but I felt that the ending to the story was a bit flat. Although the ending of the book would make me interested to read the next in the series to see how things turn out.

It seems a prerequisite recently that the main characters in a lot of the new crime/mystery books must suffer from internal demons and/or personal issues. This, to me, makes them unrealistic and would find it hard to believe that they would be competent at their job if in the real world.

Overall, I liked the story and would consider reading the follow-up, but please, don't have so many characters at the start.
