Unfortunately, The Minders is my least favourite John Marrs book so far, but he is still the king of unique concepts and I love that he is creating this little universe for his sci-fi/techno-thrillers! You should definitely read The One and The Passengers before picking this one up, as there are major spoilers for both of those books in this one. I felt like there was a lack of tension in this book, as compared to the other two. It became pretty clear early on where the story was going and although there were several twists along the way, I wasn’t nearly as shocked or engaged as I normally am with Marrs’s books. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed The Minders but it wasn’t quite as good as the first two in this world/series.
