This was probably my favorite book of the entire Game On series. I really liked that the friendship between Finn and Chess built first and both characters were giving the chance to grow independently as well as together.
Finn's past event hurt my heart so bad and Chess's reveal in relation to it set the stage for a decent bit of angst. I didn't like the little bit of miscommunication trope we got, but I can understand being afraid so I can let it slide. I really loved that in the epilogue there wasn't this magic moment where what Chess brought to the table was suddenly fixed.
