A Pig Parade Is a Terrible Idea by Michael Ian Black

5.0

My son brought this to me while we were 'reading off our fines' at the library. As I was reading it aloud to him, more and more children began to circle around, listening, laughing, and pointing at the illustrations. They were genuinely tickled with the story, and I began to suspect that this book was a *winner.* When we read it again at home after dinner and it also made my husband chuckle, I was certain that it was a winner. In short, it's a great read-aloud that gets better with repeated readings, during which you can fine tune your pacing, vocal inflection, and facial expressions.
