What the fuck did I just read?
I thoughtan abusive parental figure deep frying a child's pet hamster would be the worst part of this novel. I was very, very wrong.
The book is a decent ride until the last 15 or so percent in which everything falls apart in an entirely uncomfortable (to put it mildly) way. And I am normally not one to get squeamish about taboo topics and depictions. But what editor let this mess of left-field ending featuring INCEST make it to print?
Seriously, I just want to talk. Mostly to a therapist, but said editor and Feeney need to come with me to pay for the services I now need.
