Well Fed by Keith C. Blackmore

"Welcome home, brother."

What an amazing end to one of my all time favorite series of books. I've read a few zombie books here and there but I'm not a huge fan of the genre as it tends to be repetitive. However, this series focuses more on a few well drawn, fascinating characters than on the zombie apocalypse (although there is plenty of zombie fighting action going on). Gus is an incredible character, full of faults and quirks but also so much heart and resilience. This really is a study in survival and by the end, I really just wanted him to find peace because he'd earned it. Collie, Ollie, Maggie, Scott and others round out the book and the series along with some of the worst baddies ever. Great characters.
I listened to this series on audiobook and once again, R.C. Bray kills it. He's amazing in his character voice creation and is oh so consistent. An amazing talent paired with a great story is unbeatable. Thank you Keith C. Blackmore for your efforts, they were much appreciated.
