Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.

why is no one talking about how shitty this prose is?? mechanical nightmare. dialogue from literal hell. the story is interesting. the one person i saw who gave this book a 5 also gave to kill a mockingbird a 2, so just keep that in mind.
