A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking

5.0

The beauty of a scientific book lies in how one explains the most critical of concepts to its readers. 'A brief history of time' does that in an effortless manner. If you are a newbie to quantum mechanics, as you read through the book, you realize how things fall into place and the logical sequence the theories and the experiments follow. If you have read books on quantum mechanics before the book will help you place it appropriately by recognizing the value and the significance of a quantum theory, and the subsequent dream of a grand unification theory. The effectiveness with which Dr.Stephen Hawking ensures that a reader understands the features of the evolution of scientific theories is the most satisfying part of this book. An excellent read for anybody who had a passion of understanding theoretical physics as a kid, or if you ever dreamt of being an astronaut shooting off in a rocket to a galaxy far far away or of time travel (Reading this you'd be able to understand and appreciate the rules that govern that kind of travel). :)
