My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

3.0

A friend of mine LOVED this book when it first came out, and I remember her telling me the ending, as I had said that I would never read it...I obviously changed my mind! Knowing the ending, I was able to notice a lot of the foreshadowing that Picoult placed throughout the novel. Her books always make me consider both sides of an issue, and this one was no different. I found myself for and against Anna's lawsuit at different times in the book. I did find Sara hard to root for - I understand how hard she was fighting to keep Kate alive but I was frustrated with how she let Jesse fall through the cracks! It is hard for me to judge, as I have no idea what I would do in a similar situation, I just was so sad about the actions Jesse was taking! The ending was hard to take, but I'm finding that to be common in Picoult's works!
