Sooo good!!! Despite being 550 pages it felt fast paced and never bored me. So many plot twists I couldn't stop reading because I had to know what happened next.
The mysteries had exciting conclusions. Loved how short the chapters were. Loved switching timelines and point of view. The chapters where you are reading a book within the book were fun too.
Reminded me of In Cold Blood (Capote) and Great Gatsby at times but also so different.
Themes:
murder mystery, small town, self discovery, family drama/secrets/ties, trauma, wealth, mansions, historical fiction
