Carrie Soto Is Back, by Taylor Jenkins Reid

3.0

3.5. This one was such an easy read. TJR just knows how to tell a story. I’m not a tennis gal, so I think it missed the mark for me in that regard, but it didn’t take away from the overall plot in any way. The main character wasn’t overly likeable, but maybe the point was that she wasn’t supposed to be. It definitely made me ask myself some good questions about what makes me deem a person “likeable.” There were adjacent paradigms in this story that I think will pose some good reflections for readers who take the time to do so. I just didn’t connect with it or feel overly emotionally moved, but it was a good story with relevant content. Not my fav from TJR, but that’s a high mark to meet. Definitely worth a read!
