The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins by Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing

5.0

i wish everyone had this kind of reverence for mushrooms. so thoroughly researched and passionate and she glides so easily between mycology and humanity and globalization and ecology and cultural histories and occasionally gets too meandering but i loved it. everything in it was new to me and so fascinating - even though the writing was pretty dry i always couldn’t wait to return to it. fucking awesome
