A Summer to Remember by Erika Montgomery
3.0
I received an advanced reader copy of A Summer to Remember from St. Martin’s Press via NetGalley, in return for my honest opinion.
A Summer to Remember by Erika Montgomery is a story about family secrets and overcoming grief. Before Maeve’s sudden death last year, Maeve and her daughter, Frankie, ran a memorabilia store in Hollywood. Frankie comes across a photo of her mother with a famous celebrity couple- Glory Cartwright and Mitch Beckett. Frankie sets out across the country to the Stardust Film Festival to determine how her mother knew this legendary couple and why she kept it from her.
Louise was one of Glory’s closest friends and has been running the Stardust Film Festival since it’s inception. Louise’s marriage has hit a rough patch since her husband’s retirement. As long buried secrets are revealed, Louise and Frankie’s lives will become more entangled with one another.
This was a quick, easy read that took a while to get into and had a few surprises thrown in. A Summer to Remember is available today, May 11, 2021.
