This book was a bit flat for me compared to prior books. I didn’t find Xander swoon worthy. I also can’t get past green hair. When the ‘issue’ of why the characters could not be together was revealed, they got over that pretty quickly. Also, the schmex was not believable… either that or I was very deprived when I was a teen/college-age. However, their childhood was sad like prior books so there was a bit of depth there. I will not be reading Ronan and Teal’s book due to trigger warnings and I might struggle with Cole’s and Silver’s but I want to get lost in the Rina Kent universe (hope I don’t regret it!).
