For this being the fourth book in the series; I think that it was absolutely incredible. This book did an excellent job of telling the story that was right there. Having the multiple POVs that show you everything happening around the characters, even though the characters aren't privy to that information, really puts into perspective what these different characters are going through and heading toward.
The different relationships built and mended throughout Queen of Shadows showed the growth of these characters that you are really getting to know while also going on this amazing journey with them.
I know that  Aelin is supposed to be the "main character," and she is, but throughout this book, you really get to know Manon, Rowan, Chaol, and Dorian -because what they do throughout these books is very important and made some of the scenes really impactful.
Like when Aelin decided that she would save Manon instead of letting her die. Made a much larger impact on me because we knew what Manon was going through and that she was protecting Elide, whose mother had saved Aelin 10 years ago.

I think without these different POVs that we are getting, some of these scenes wouldn't have meant as much, and we wouldn't know some of the things that would bring this whole story together.
Such as Aelin saving Kaltain a few books ago and her remembering that in return saves Elide, but also gives her one of the wyrdkey and the tiny piece of fabric she saved from the cloak she gave her to keep her warm. -I wish Kaltain would have lived because I always thought she would be reunited with Aelin and find out who she really was. But I also appreciate her sacrifice because it showed the growth that she went through despite all of these terrible things that she went through.
