I’m all for magic being the answer but there was so much build up and the whole part with Charlie’s dad was a much more interesting story. It should’ve been something with voodoo and the fortune teller who had a love child with Brett and the shrimp cast a spell on them or something. When Charlie was held in that room that seemed like a psych hospital was the creepy Taryn Fischer vibes I was hoping for the whole time but it was all basically pointless when they just fell back in love. Interesting idea for a book, poorly executed at the end.
