I didn’t read the other books in this series, but since my overall issue with this was the writing itself maybe it’s best that I don’t read them. I was a bit bored plot wise. The couple didn’t really seem like two people falling in love. It was a bit stilted. The language seemed rather repetitive in a lot of places. Also, I didn’t really like the way that the author framed some of her descriptions of the main female character. There’s a way to speak about women and compliment them without insulting other women and it just seemed like there was a lot of that language happening in this book. A lot of punching down of others to emphasize the greatness of the main character. I didn’t like that.
