I don’t even know where to start with this book. The main character is 14 and just starting high school and ragingly horny. To the point where all she can think about is boys and wanting to have sex. She literally is petting her dog in one scene and gets turned on by how soft her dog’s fur is....
She is a toxic friend. She only ever calls her best friend Hannah over to complain about her life and then yell at Hannah. Afterwards she writes about how annoying Hannah is in her diary. She also likes to mock Hannah more behind her back, at times just because Hannah is kind of reserved and religious.
The focus of the story is centered around the main character flirting and trying to hook up with a senior boy who already has a girlfriend. Which to be honest I was creeped out by because she’s 14 and maybe she doesn’t understand why that’s wrong but this dude is 18, so he could literally go to jail if he did do anything with her. The really sad thing is after all of this happens the dude’s girlfriend still wants to be with him. All these people start bullying the 14 year old and harassing her for what she did but the guy who is older and should know better gets off with a slap on the wrist!
