In this book, we go through the life of our protagonist Eli who stays with his Brother August, Mother, and stepdad. He resides in a location where most of the migrants to his country reside were many activities taking place. He learns that his parents take part in drug trafficking and its process a lot of twists and tragedies take place.
We see how Eli & his family fight through hard times and come to a happy ending. We see how Eli comes in terms with the loss of his only friend.
This was a good read for me. I enjoyed how the scattered family has to back together. The book was also written very well.
