Jim Henson's a Tale of Sand Hc, by Jim Hensen, Jerry Juhl

4.0

I was so excited when I saw this somewhat unknown story from Jim Henson. It is so inline with his desire to be an experimental film maker. I loved the art style, the story was very dystopian. I love Jim's works, but this one missed the mark a little bit. It falls along similar criticisms of his later non-Muppet works. He did not spend enough time developing the story, the plot line. If this film had been made, I'm not sure what kind of commercial success it would get. Maybe, it would develop a cult following like Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. If would be very visually enticing.
