The Road Trip by Beth O'Leary

5.0

5⭐️ I truly loved this book.

Although this book has such a difference in tone and mood from her previous 2 books, it never fails to make you laugh a couple of times along the way. The Road Trip tells the tale of complicated flawed characters with mental health issues, dysfunctional families and toxic behaviours. As well as exposing all the flaws, you see the importance of friendship between the characters, making this a truly enjoyable read.
I loved the switch back to the past to learn more about what happened between Addie and Dylan. My favourite part has to be the development of key characters as the book progresses. Especially the difference between Dylan's relationship with Marcus from the 'Then' and 'Now' POVs.

After loving Beth's first two books, this was a must-read and it did not disappoint!
