Watching You by Lisa Jewell

very clever and easy to digest. i find most murder mysteries to be dense and clunky but this was nothing like that. i loved the sprinkling of police/detective interviews at the end of some chapters as information was revealed

i have one tiny (major) issue though and it’s a small detail about a method to kill a person’s dog. it came out of left field and honestly made me want to vomit (thank god i’m on ssri’s or i would’ve bawled immediately). i know what the author was trying to do here but i wish it was left out
