Batman: Earth One Vol. 2, by Geoff Johns

2.0

...Yeah, this wasn't good.
The same problems simply move on to this book, but far worse with the Batman getting more and more famous. See, I don't quite understand how people are afraid of this guy, unlike the other Batmen because all the other Batmen have certain traits or smarts that make them terrifying.
Not Earth One Batman.
He's pretty naive for someone that's lived in this city all his life. Ridder's existence shouldn't shock him this much. Sure, he can get mad, but he acts like his murders are something entirely mind-opening for evil. Eart One Batman also really does have the mind of a teenager because his dialogue makes him sound so dumb that any response other characters give him seem so weird. I can't put my finger on it, but the way people talk to Bruce makes them turn into a sitcom version of themselves. Once they're not talking to him, they're right back to actual good characters.

On the top of characters, The Ridder was pretty disappointing as a villain. He was just a manic who killed people in a unique way. That's about it.
There's one volume left, so I may as well read it to see Catwoman. Other than that, volume 2 is a big downgrade.
